Morton's Martinis

Been awhile since i last posted. Kinda caught up wif tryin to study for quizzes (YES, i do TRY to study) and doing projects.

Well Wakeboarding AGM was gonna be at 2030. So me, van n yiwei were gonna head down to Morton's at Oriental Hotel to try the choc martinis n steak sandwiches we've been hearing so much about. But ah long was sick so was just me n van but later joe n celine popped by to join us.

Honestly, i felt that the martinis were ok only lah. But the complimentary steak sandwiches were fuckin awesome. me n vanny each had like 5 which joe n celine just sat there n watched. pretty funny seeing joe asking me "do you think i should try the beef?" (he hasnt tried beef before so was pretty apprehensive).

But the stuff there is pretty ex sia. Wanted to order the Jumbo Crab Cakes which i read somwhere was good so asked the waiter how many pieces each order came with. Bastard was like "ONE." n then used his hands to show roughly how big it was. fuckin hell 30 bucks for somthin abt the same size as my wallet. or smaller. hmmm

think they tot we were pretty dumb too. cos joe was askin the waiter where the FREE steak sandwiches were when he sat down n the bastard again said in his snooty voice "sir we dont give free sandwiches, we call them complimentary" FUCK U, whats the difference between free and complimentary, one had 4 letters and the other has 13.

But overall, i'd say the steak sandwiches n decent choc martinis with its chocolate shell made up for it.

No drinking tonight

Well jere guess ur're right n if u didnt know me well enuff you'd prob think i am pretty one dimensional so i figured i'm gonna post bout some other shit other than the times i've spent boozing my life away.

the other nite met up wif ty, pixy n vince for dinner. havent seen them in ages and i have to say its nice to just meet up wif old friends to have a chat not to mention the pretty interesting speech by pixy abt christianity too. haah. to think i actually mistook pixy for a christian. should have seen his face. bastard seemed so shocked think he even contemplated renouncing our friendship. hahaha

anyway we headed down to corduroy & finch off bukit timah road n i have to say i'm pretty impressed. food was good n dessert even better. not to mention they even have quite a snazzy breakfast menu. so here's some pics of the food n us kinda stuff. i had a fuckin fantastic lamb shank n creme brulee for dessert which ty says that i dont know how to crack. fucker.

Vodka Syringes

So its sat nite and even though the rest werent going, me n small boy decided to head down to dbl o cos it was lian's bdae n i wanted to get her sloshed. Mum told me not to drink so much so i decided to listen to her for once (besides i'm going broke soon too with all the drinking) so just had 10 shooters n some drinks here n there.

Somehow resisted the urge to open a bottle of remy even though its just 150. Come to think of it should have just opened a bottle n waved our covers. fuck. oh well nxt time then.

So we just got shooters etc etc n as u can see small boy took one while i was gettin more drinks the bastard couldnt even wait for me. anyway saw georgina, ty's buddy from years ago. Think she got promoted now not wearing the normal waitress uniform already. ty u should go back one day to say hi to her. Since it was lian's bdae her friends got her blue mountain. i always liked to see it go up in flames. pretty awesome but not too nice to drink though. a min later i see lian puke out everythin what a waste of good booze. haha.

But have to commend her la cos after washing out her mouth she's back to finish the flaming we got for her. relax k lian its only a fuckin flaming....look so stressed. haha

Later on the gals selling syringe shots came over n got us to buy some. I think i only paid cos they looked more decent than most of the gals there that night plus it prob aint too comfortable being in those pvc jumpsuits the whole night either.

So they shot us wif some vodka cran syringes which had fuckin no vodka at all n we decided to do the same for eh. haha. actually pretty fun to drink outta syringes. guys maybe for 31st we should fill some with somthing strong. Might actually be quite fun.

Oh ya kinda realised that i need to brush up on my chinese too. while chilling at the table wif the drinks tis ah lian came up n asked me dunno what in chinese while pointing to the drinks. think she was asking if we ordered them or somthing didnt understand wtf she was saying. to think i'm chinese.

Thur nite carrie msgs me asks me to get some peepz n head down to butterfactory on fri. Turns out its her friend's yangwei's bdae. So what i buy bdae boy a flaming. Afterall he saved me n small boy our covers. my first time at butterfactory n honestly, it aint too bad. dunno how come i always never manage to drag my ass down there. Carrie's never tried 151 before so got her a glass and that kinda got her wanting more later on. Guess i've managed to convert yet another to the wonders of 151. haha.

Since eric was at zouk n groove armada was spinning me n dan headed down there. fuckin place was so packed that eric couldnt even walk out of members to get us in. kinda bummed. but met joe n amanda n headed back to butterfactory n opened a bottle of martell. Think we should have gotten somthing else since bdae boy had already gotten martell earlier on. But booze's booze so fuck it.

Dan really loves the shit with green tea. A bartender at eski once told us how chivas green tea came about and abt how its a fuckin prostitute drink. guess its the same for martell green tea. He says green tea spoils the taste and i kinda think he's right. Oh well like what my dad says abt booze, "its just expensive piss". haha dad's fuckin hiliarious.

Joe got totally sloshed and with his bull strenght it aint that easy to wrestle a bottle of martell away from him. not to mention stop him from drinking. At least i dont have to worry abt him gettin fucked in the ass by some pumped up california fitness homo.

Sumei was there too, well she's there every fri nite n always asks me to go but somhow i'm always too busy or somwhere else. Havent seen her in awhile so was kinda nice to say hi. I've know her for 8 years now. Kinda started tis online penpal kinda thing but the first time i actually met her in person was in SMU. Was abit weird at first i guess. but its cool.

Had Chia's class at 9 the nxt day so said i wanted to leave by 2 but at 3 the 4 of us ended up cabbing down to zouk. At least we managed to catch groove armada n i have to say the music was motherfuckin awesome. Was fuckin tired so after losing joe n him not answering my calls told amanda n dan i was gonna head home. Figured he'd find those 2 again so yea.

Pretty awesome night! n at least i made it for my 9am class at 930 although i did smell like martell. HAHA.

Cant find a pic with sean when we're sloshed so i guess this has to suffice. Btw sean's the really dazed one on the left while the dude with the tongue's yc who's another story himself. Well sean's another one of the gang frm A4 n the bastard's been living it up in melboure the past few years studying to be a lawyer. with any luck my old friend will end up doing divorces and hopefully cut me some slack on his fees. if my current lifestyle carries on i'd say i'll be needing his help ALOT. haha

I'd say seanny's gotta be the most independent guy i know. not to mention one hell of a drinker n one hell of a great friend. bastard's favourite drink bourbon on the rocks and dont underestimate his size cos he'll outdrink most pple i know.

But when the bastard gets sloshed u better stay as far away as possible. he BITES. Was just chilling at our table at chinablack when sean's face suddenly drops onto my chest and sinks his teeth into it. bastard tried to take a piece off me. but of cos damien & zhiwen (or was it mingwei) shared my pain as well. Another time i'll always remember was the first time at dblo when seanny dropped the metal stool onto my toe while trying to get on it. Of cos jere n ty were having a huge laugh while i was in pain. had a fuckin bruised toe for 6mths.

Bastard dosnt only inflict pain but does an awesome impression of gandalf the drunk. hahaha. 4yrs ago at our first 31st party at Raffles the Plaza i guess it must have been the alcohol which gave sean that little push to put on the white bath robe, hold 2 bottles in his hand, a jim beam and i cant remember the other (i'll check up the video somtime soon) and start yelling "you shall not pass". man that was fuckin hilarious and i have to say that the image is forever burnt into my mind.

Really cant wait to see him n get sloshed together when he gets back in dec. Dude u better come back earlier so we got more time to get sloshed. n pls get somthing good from dfs yea. maybe a bottle of royale salute would be nice.

Amaretto Sour my drink of choice

Headed down to MOS last nite wif carrie n small boy then my uncle, justin (who's younger than me) joined us too. more pple were supposed to come but dunno wtf happened to them. so fuck it. well carrie was going to collect her membership, lucky bitch. haha. guess being pretty always has its perks.

ever since raj introduced me to amaretto sour its been my drink of choice. so got us a couple. been craving it the whole week alraedy. i used to always start off the night wif a chivas on da rocks but that has since changed. a very light mixture of amaretto and lemon juice brings about a refreshing and fuckin awesome drink to start off a night of sloshing.

got ourselves a bottle of bubbly but i guess somthing a tad stronger would have been more welcome. but as u can see, he definately did enjoy himself blowing the fuckin bottle. dude thats pretty gay man but i guess its quite normal for him after all he does wear women's clothes. gals i guess u could learn a thing or two from him. haah.

Kinda passed up awesome techno at main arena for some ok only hip-hop/rnb at smoove. but i guess it was good. didnt realise that justin actually likes to club. just found myself a new kaki but i have to turn him into one of my sloshy buddies too. cant believe that he actually has drink coupons which he didnt use from previous trips. honestly to me thats a crime. but then again i still have his drink coupons from last nite. couldnt go back to mos to use them cos of certain reasons not worth mentioning.

Anyhow i'd say it was a pretty good nite with good company too. although guys i really have to apologise for having to bail on u guys at barcelona. Will make it up to u all next time k.

Mr "Shit Happens"

My old buddy Ty. Known the bastard since i started wearing long pants in SJI and we've been drinking since army although he kinda prefers doing tutorials on a sat nite rather than gettin sloshed but i'm sure that will change once he's had a taste of the 'sauce' again. Other than being the guy who came up with our yearly A4 31st Dec party (which i will elaborate more about at a later date) i would say ty's been an instrumental part of many of our sloshing good times.

I remember the first time we went to dblo so many yrs ago and fell in love with the place, decent music and VERY cheap drinks. Was just me, ty, jere n sean out having a few drinks on a sunday nite. was hari raya or somthing so meant we didnt have to work the nxt day. We were at MS n looking for a pub then ty was saying jugs at dblo was like 12bucks so we tot might as well go check it out since we've never been there before. 8jugs and several shooters later we're pretty sloshed and trying to play a decent round of pool. Later on we all decided we'd just open bottles there n the rest was history.

me n ty been having bets abt the gals he tries to jio. Bastard's attention span isnt long enuff that once she's startin to get interested he decides he's bored so that kinda caused him to owe me 3 waterfalls before he finally wisen up n stopped betting. but even now i'm always trying my luck to see if he's game enuff to bet again.

Sausage Buddy

Yang, what can i say. He's the first really good guy friend i made in SMU so we're sausage buddies (dont think i need to explain why rite). Well, I cant remember how the term came about but it dosnt matter la. Anyhow, we've gone for almost all the bashes together n of cos other clubbing sessions too. But the thing that amazes me is that no matter what this bastard is always totally sloshed. never goes home sober. not to mention his particularly interesting vocab whenever he's sloshed. a combination of hokkien & english strung together to produce a melodious phrases he seems to always recite.

e.g "Chee Byeeeeeeeee. Fuckin hell always take videos of me."

Well my sausage buddy's been through alot not to mention all the videos we always take of him. unlike myself, he's more of a hilarious drunk who says and does the most interesting of things some of which i have on video and like i said earlier i wont release in case some of my own start floating on youtube.

I remember last yr he was organising the bondue bash a MOS and got totally sloshed and started cursing studying, sch etc but said he was still going for class at 830 the nxt day. we all kinda made a bet whether he'd make it for class or not. most of us said he wont but suprisingly the bastard got up and was in his tax class. i dont think he got any class participation though. hahaha

Anyway like all my buddies, Yang's been through alot with me and i'm really happy to have met him. Gonna miss the bastard when he goes on exchange to Bath but i'm sure when he's back in dec we're gonna PARTEH the rest of 2006 away. Better drink some for me while ur're over there man.

Btw, ladies he's a good guy n he's single. Been looking be unfortunately cant find a gf lah. =P

Why i dont drink Absolut anymore

I've drunk a shitload of booze in my life and Absolut was the reason i started drinking vodka (had always been a Gin fan since i started mydrunkenlife). Well guess i was young and totally taken in by their marketing but thats besides the point and the following are the reasons why i dont drink that shit anymore.

1. Absolut is a cheap vodka widely used in most clubs/pubs. Personally i dont like to drink what everyone else drinks. Kinda picked up elitist habit from some people i know.

2. Its not very smooth, sorry i mean its not smooth at all. burns ur fuckin throat when you drink it. Honestly after you've tried the good stuff like grey goose n belvedere you're never going back.

3. Taking shots of it used to give me a kick but nowadays it just makes me wanna hurl. In fact, me n the guys have actually developed a sense for Absolut and taking one whiff we'd put the glass down. I have no idea how i managed to shoot it for so many years.

4. Increase in financial status. Growing older kinda means your cash balance increases, more allowance, ability to hold higher paying jobs and this equates to being able to enjoy the finer luxuries in life or in my case the premium spirits. I'm actually very thankful for this fact.

5. Having my buddies agreeing with me the Absolut is somthing we're not going to touch anymore.

6. Finally the most important reason is cos a year ago i got totally sloshed on it n puked my guts out. Was having some problems with the ex (i've left names out to maintain some sense of anonnoymity) and was pretty depressed so i kinda took to the bottle. Thats one mistake i wont make again. Anyhow the totally embarressing night which i hope no one rememebers kinda gave me even more reason to stop drinking that stuff. haha.

As gone as i was that night i did remember one funny incident. Sitting slumped over outside Chinablack with my puke all over me i do remember seeing my preggz standing in front of me. But thats not the funny part. Everything was really blur so couldnt make out her face but in my mind i was thinking "hey arent those minsy's boobs". hahaha

So now its just gonna be the good shit for me.

Bubbly from the bottle

Went there with the sole objective of supporting lee & nat in the pageant and to watch yiwei dance n then heading home to sleep so that i can go wakeboard in the morn but like my good friend ty always say "shit happens" and it ended up as one hella of a night. (of cos i didnt manage to get up for riding at 9 the nxt day)

got that fuckin early 830 to be exact. but surprisingly for a sch bash the crowd was not too bad lah. anyway met up wif yang, chloes, joe n a few others, watched the pageant, wasnt impressive, dance performance we good. lee & nat didnt win but at least u guys took part rite n nat really great dance. i would never have the courage to do that sober. yang decided that he'd buy us drinks since he's gonna get totally wasted in europe for the nxt few months. 42below with red bull's pretty decent.

got a bottle of champagne after waitin like 20mins cos of some screw up at the bar. was kinda pissed off cos i dont like to wait for my booze but it was cool. let small boy pop it cos he says he's still a virgin when it comes to popping champagne and we just carried the bottle around mos dancing n drinking from it. btw for all u peeps who werent there...minsy's quite happening when she's high. first time see her dancing on the platform n come to think of it she didnt look too bad. hmmm. NAH.

well yang got wasted...AGAIN. there's never been a time clubbing when yang hasnt been wasted. and u can tell when he's wasted when he tells minsy "i need to go home now". so what does jon do in such a situation, i take photos. n videos. n my sausage buddy's just cursing at me saying he's gonna get me sloshed one day n have his revenge. i told u bro i'll even drink wif u we see who goes down first. but then again you're gonna have 4mths of training in europe. dont disappoint me man.

we got outta there around 3 n what transpired outside was just more photos n videos (which of cos is not on youtube. afterall, yang has my videos too). Sadly i cant seem to post the pics so i'm just gonna publish this before everythin disappears and get a drink.

My best friend

Well bro u are after all my brudder and the guy who's gonna be the best man at my wedding so this first post belongs to u.

I've known mel for 10years already and i'd have to say we've been through alot together. Thanks for always being there for me man, through all the girlfriend problems, drunken nights out especially the time u helped carry me home after a stomach emptying merlion experience at chinablack.

Although he says he's too old and is cutting down on the partying i dont think thats gonna happen lah. After all his motto in life's "study and get sloshed". Besides, we still gotta have out 10 shots wif the rest to celebrate the 10years of brudderhood, 1 for each year and i've sure after that anything goes already rite bro. hahaha

and as u can see from the photo we both love a cold glass of bubbly. but like i discovered last nite drinking from the bottle on the dancefloor is so much better.

Why

Last nite while out drinking i realised that my life's actually pretty simple. The 2 most impt things in my life other than family are basically wakeboarding and getting sloshed. And i'm sure all my friends know i'll never keep this blog updated often enough but i'll try. haha

Anyhow this is gonna be a diary of all the sloshing good times i've had wif my buddies.
